It depends on where you plan to dive. Should it be in France, then you MUST have an adequate certification allowing you to properly open the computer's box. And obviously this has to be done with a certified hood on. Not following this advice may result in several million dollars claims for civil responsibility.

 

Elsewhere in the world you do as you like and dont have to care about anybody's else opinion.

Hey, I'm just a new diver^^, my computer is only a Puck, since he's a new OW maybe he should let it on default since he's diving with air.

 

But I agree with the Switzerland training, only second to France's training of course.
